Don't miss the full story behind the ILA agreement.
A coordination meeting between the agencies had been scheduled but was ultimately canceled by the City of Stuart. In response, all five County Commissioners voted unanimously to move the process forward and reestablish dialogue by directing staff to schedule a new meeting between leadership and legal representatives from both agencies. Notably, Commissioner Vargas also shifted position to support limiting attendance to staff and legal teams rather than elected officials.
This matter requires transparency, accuracy, and a commitment to the full context—not selective narratives or emotionally driven messaging. The public deserves a clear understanding of both the process and the facts.
Take the time to watch the full Commission meeting and review the discussion firsthand.
