Avatar K-9 Diabetic Alert Service Dogs

It is with an extremely heavy heart that I make this post. I was just informed that Buddy the Diabetic Alert Service Dog that I trained many years ago has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Buddy was an amazing dog that absolutely loved life and was such a joy besides being am incredible Diabetic Alert Service Dog. I love telling the story that was told to me by the wife of Buddy’s person. They went to bed one night, she thought they had be asleep most of the night, thinking it was early in the morning, Buddy woke her up. She said he would sometimes do that because he wanted to go out. She told him to go back to bed, he kept being persistent. She looked at the clock and realized it was only about an hour after they had gone to bed. She immediately had him check his sugar, it was low!!! She thinks he tried to wake him up, but he wouldn’t get up, so he was smart enough to go wake her up❣️ Buddy will be greatly missed by his person and their family!
