“Did I do enough?”
“Should I have noticed sooner?”
“Why didn’t I…”

One thing I’ve also observed in pet grief is how quickly people begin replaying everything in their minds afterward.

The timing.
The decisions.
The “what ifs.”
The things they wish they had done differently.

But love and grief often speak the same language.

And sometimes the depth of the questioning simply reflects how deeply we cared. 🤍
