Ellis Family Farm

Well we learned a huge lesson this past week about our meat birds. Brood them OUTSIDE. They are some stinky birds!!! But with every new adventure comes great learning opportunity. I built this little brooder box with scrap wood I had laying around here, it cost me $30 it isn’t perfect, but the birds are happy, and I don’t have to smell them anymore. I will be building one or two more of these that are a little bit bigger and more functional for cleaning. But this is perfect for what we needed it for

Please bear with us as we are starting our family farm page. I was born and raised here in the 757. I love to support businesses and I hope you would choose to support our local business. We currently are selling farm fresh eggs. But within the next 5-6 months we will have some pasture raised ORGANIC farm fresh chickens for sale. We will be selling them as wholes, halves, breast, thigh/leg quarters. And in 7-9 months we will be selling pasture raised pork!
