D.O.A.

Food for thought.

Maybe the expired person and their family deserve more.

Moment of silence.

Seeing people die repeatedly sucks. Talk about moral injury over a career...

But you know what doesn't suck?
Taking the time to treat humans like humans.

Pray. Meditate. Or just be quiet for 15 seconds.

This idea has been around for a while. I think its time for a re-up.

🚩 Human Trafficking Red Flags 🚩

Human trafficking doesn't always look like the movies.
Be alert for: β€’ Someone who cannot speak for themselves β€’ A companion who insists on answering all questions β€’ Signs of physical abuse, malnutrition, or untreated medical conditions β€’ Inconsistent or scripted stories β€’ Fearful, anxious, submissive, or hypervigilant behavior β€’ Lack of identification, personal belongings, or knowledge of their location β€’ Evidence of branding tattoos, especially names, barcodes, crowns, or dollar signs β€’ Frequent STIs, unintended pregnancies, or sexual assault concerns β€’ Multiple people living or working in the same location under suspicious circumstances β€’ Restricted communication or limited freedom of movement

One red flag alone may not mean trafficking. Multiple indicators should raise concern.

As healthcare providers, first responders, and community members, we may be one of the few opportunities a victim has to be identified and helped.

See something concerning? Trust your instincts, ensure safety, and follow your local reporting and referral procedures.
