Here are messages from Parma Head Coach Kieran Moss and Brad Wilson, parent manager (2023-2025). Also thanks to most recent parent manager Ryan Mottesheard. Parma earned a nice come-from-behind tie Sunday to conclude the team’s SSC journey.
“I’m very proud of this team, not only for their performances throughout the season, but also for the lovely people that they are. This group always showed up on time with a great attitude, good vibes, and even better effort. These are the things that extend beyond the soccer field and will transfer into whatever the girls decide to pursue in the future. I have no doubts that they will be successful.
It has been an honor and privilege to coach this team! Best of luck in the future!” -Coach Kieran

“Parma has been such a special team to watch over the years. The girls always worked hard, supported one another, and most importantly had fun every time they stepped on the pitch. We saw many terrific players come and go across the seasons, and each and every one brought the same enthusiasm for the game and competitive spirit. The amount of growth—both individually and as a unit—was wonderful to see, and it is a credit to the girls and all of their terrific coaches (Tommy, Alex, Kieran and Dave).
It’s sad to see this chapter come to an end, but the memories and bonds that Parma created will last. I wish the girls all the best in soccer and in life beyond the game in the years ahead.” — Brad Wilson

But prevention exercises like FIFA 11+ have consistently reduced the risk of A.C.L. injuries, often by 50-80%. Check out this informative piece (15 min. read) by self-described soccer nut Craig Welch about A.C.L. injury prevention. When we see a referee wearing a green badge in the new year, it’s a visual cue that the referee is a minor—reminding players, coaches, and spectators to show patience, encouragement, and respect. Youth referees make up about half of the referee community. Did you know anyone 13 or older can become a USSF referee? More info in bio. Let’s encourage everyone to let players play, coaches coach and referees ref
