After 25 years of rehabing clients after injuries, we know more now than ever, that continuing to train after an injury—safely and appropriately—is essential for recovery and long-term health.
When you stop all activity, muscles weaken, joints stiffen, and circulation slows, which can delay healing and increase the risk of re-injury once you return to normal activity. Modified training helps maintain strength, mobility, and cardiovascular fitness while promoting blood flow to injured tissues, which supports the repair process. The key is working around the injury, not through it—focusing on controlled, pain-free movement to keep the body strong and balanced during recovery.
