On July 7, 2026, SBHS was at USC Sumter with Professor Halls class for part 2. We discussed impaired driving and how it can affect everyday life. Students wore our Impaired Googles and drove a Golf Cart to give an example of driving impaired.

On July 6, 2026, SBHS was at USC Sumter with Professor Halls class. We discussed several topics including addiction, peer pressure, and how the misuse of drugs and alcohol can affect everyday life.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) issued a notice of intent to temporarily place 7-OH and three related substances (mitragynine pseudoindoxyl, MGM-15, and MGM-16) into Schedule I. This emergency action categorizes them alongside drugs like he**in, acknowledging their high potential for abuse, severe addiction liability, and risk of respiratory depression.

August 21st is a coordinated day of response by fentanyl awareness organizations and families impacted by fentanyl to educate the public about the dangers of illicit fentanyl. We will have Free Food, Prizes, Community Resources.

Today SBHS was at Christmas Pharmacy. We provided Narcan, Deterra and medication Lockboxes. Thanks to Mr. Christmas and staff. We also provide these items for FREE at our office located at 755 Electric Drive Sumter SC.
