English Ivy may be beautiful but it is very aggressive and can kill trees. To remove ivy from a tree, pull ivy from the base of the tree trunk to roughly 3 to 5 feet high—remove the vine at least to waist level. White vinegar can be used as an alternative to dangerous herbicides.
