Sun Prairie Cub Scouts Pack 143

Our family pack campout has begun with a brand new fire pit at the Lion’s Clubhouse (a recent Eagle project by a Scout in SP Troop 47). The s’mores are great.

Our traditional raingutter regatta will look a bit different this year as we’re using inflatable gutters.

Tomorrow evening we’ll have our year end pack meeting with rank advancements including a walk across our crossover bridge. Even though we’re at a campout, our pack meeting can be under a shelter if it looks like rain.

Also we’ll have a solemn ceremony to retire some worn out US flags.

The April pack meeting included the Scouts, siblings, and parents making cards for the Badger Honor Flight. Part of the BHF experience for veterans is to have a mail call on the flight home from visiting Washington DC. Each veteran receives a packet from family, friends, and groups that write note thanking them for their service.

We also had some sock snowballs that we tossed at targets.

Pack 143 celebrated the 114th anniversary of the BSA at our Blue and Gold Banquet where our small den of 3 AOL’s earned their Arrow of Light Award and all crossed over into ScoutsBSA. We enjoyed a spaghetti meal and were joined by guests from Troop 47 and 7127. Scouts from both troops conducted the crossover ceremony to welcome their newest members. Congratulations to all Scouts and good luck on your journey to Eagle.
