One of the most important things educators can do for students with dyslexia involves homework. Keep an open mind about alternative arrangements! Understand that students with dyslexia, even when they can read and write at grade level, often can't sustain that level of performance for long periods of time. Assignments that take other students 20 minutes may take them 1-2 hours or even more. Homework accommodations are one of the best ways to make your classroom dyslexia friendly!
