Planned PEThood Spirit Week & Adoption Event

We're excited to partner with Planned PEThood of Georgia for a special week-long fundraiser benefiting local pets and the people who love them!

Planned PEThood of Georgia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals and strengthening the communities they call home. For more than 16 years, they have provided affordable veterinary care, low-cost spay and neuter services, free vaccine clinics, community cat programs, humane education, and pet adoption and foster services throughout Metro Atlanta and Northeast Georgia.

How You Can Help

July 4–10:

Mention "Planned PEThood" at checkout, and 20% of your purchase will be donated to support their lifesaving work.

July 11:

Planned PEThood representatives will be at the bookstore from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM to share information about their programs and how you can get involved. They will also have cats and kittens available for adoption, giving you the chance to meet your new furry family member!

Plus, 10% of all sales made on July 11 will be donated to Planned PEThood.

Every purchase helps support programs that keep pets healthy, keep families together, reduce shelter populations, and prevent animal suffering before it starts.

Join us Saturday at 3 PM for The Mechanics of Racial Capitalism: Book Discussion featuring Dr. Simms and her new book, Finding a Foothold: How Government and Markets Undermine Black Middle-Class Suburbia.
Dr. Simms will be joined by Dr. Easley of Emory University for a lively and engaging conversation exploring race, housing, policy, and the challenges facing Black middle-class communities.
