How about an end-of-year glow party!! Rooms 117 and 119 switched from classroom lights to glow sticks and glow glasses as they celebrated the end of a fantastic school year in style, dancing to their favorite tunes. The culmination of a week of cool activities celebrating a truly unforgettable school year! 😎
We are proud to present our latest CADES Video Spotlight: Community Support Professional (CSP) Darron Shaw! Darron just celebrated his 30th year at CADES this past April, which is an incredible accomplishment! As you can see from his spotlight, Darron describes the evolution of our Adult Day Program and the growth he has seen in our adult day participants, particularly over the last few years as we have spread from Swarthmore to Aston and Newtown Square. Primarily in Aston, Darron support our adult day participants in getting out into the community, whether it be volunteer work or recreational activities. He sees the effect that his work at CADES, and our core values, has on both him and the individuals that he serves. Darron, thank you for all that you do!

Shout out to all of the classes that competed in this year's MarioKart tournament in June. Once again, the magic that happens when Speech-Language Pathology and Occupational Therapy come together- all kinds of adaptations that allow students to hit the gas, fire a koopa-troopa shell, drive, even choose their driver! We also had a new champion this year- Room 120 defeated our returning champions- Room 9, by eleven seconds!! Congratulations!

We put the finishing touches on a pretty fantastic fundraising year for CADES as Director of Development Lona P. O'Neill and Development Associate Brittani Hales presented our friends at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Fox & Roach (Media) with their championship belt for their incredible Philly-Inspired Putt Putt Palooza hole honoring Betsy Ross! They share that championship with our friends at Pancoast & Clifford, but were already discussing ideas during our visit to take sole possession of next year's championship! But in all seriousness, thank you to our friends at Berkshire Hathaway for supporting all of our programs at CADES!
