The power at SHS is temporarily out again this morning as crews complete the installation of a new transformer. As a result, the district is currently without internet and phone services.

District campuses and offices will be closed today, and employees will work remotely.

We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

New for the 2026–2027 School Year: Clear Bag Policy

Bulldog fans, we are excited to welcome you back for another great year of Sweeny ISD athletics!

To help create a safer, smoother, and more enjoyable experience for everyone, Sweeny ISD will implement a Clear Bag Policy at all athletic events.

Before heading to an upcoming volleyball match, football game, or other district athletic event, please take a moment to review the approved and prohibited bag guidelines.

NEW SCHOOL TIMES FOR 2026–2027!

Sweeny ISD will be adjusting campus start and dismissal times for the upcoming school year:

Elementary: 8:05 a.m. - 3:40 p.m.
Secondary (Grades 6–12): 8:00 a.m. - 3:35 p.m.

Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. for all campuses. These adjustments will help support transportation and after-school activities across the district.

First day of School is Wednesday, August 12th.
