Congratulations to our spotlight colleague of the month: Bella Wheeler, LMSW!! Joining our team just 2 years ago in May 2024, Bella has been another great addition to the team. She educates staff on resources available for patients and the processed to getting patients / families what they need. She is kind, caring and contains a wealth of knowledge. You can see her love of the population we take care of through the work she does. She will step in to help in any way she can and is an incredible baker! Her dessert contributions to our potlucks are always a hit!

Congratulations to our May Spotlight Colleague of the Month! Ellen Murgia! Nominated by her colleagues, Ellen continuously seeks ways to improve the flow of patient care, helping to create a smoother, more supportive experience from the moment patients enter, tirelessly working to advocate for our clinic, our patients and our staff. A common phrase often heard from her is “What is best for the patient” She is always present, always dependable, and always willing to step in whenever she’s needed. She has improved workflows in a way that provides safer, more efficient patient care. An incredible colleague with a great sense of humor she is more comfortable with her role behind the scenes and deserves her flowers nonetheless! Congratulations Ellen!

Congratulations Gwendolyn Moore, NP, our February Spotlight Colleague of the Month!! Gwen joined the Dept of Geriatrics in January 2024 after working with the Geriatrics population for many years in both the Acute and Long Term Care settings. Her calm, positive demeanor is greatly appreciated by both her colleagues and her patients. Here is what some of her patients are saying “Gwen is outstanding. I have and I will recommend and tell everyone about her. She always listens to my concerns and treats my husband with dignity, kindness and compassion.
