Part 2. The longer I am in Japan the more I love the culture and people! The pedestal sculpture is named after the man named Kazu (shown with his tail) who provided the post-consumer plastic that forms the base for the piece.

* In Kyoto now, basking in gratitude and savoring sweet memories from a most incredible experience in Koumi (Nagano Prefecture) at the Koumi-machi Museum, a lovely Tadao Ando building. During my residency, over a two week period I created 5 new sculptures, Gakken, Kura Kura, The Season of the Iris, Midori, and Kazu and had the privilege of working and living with 5 other women artists who collectively soothed and uplifted my soul.
