My friend was recently called up again to the IDF reserves as the situation with Lebanon intensifies. As you can imagine, this is not his first call since October 7th.

“They call, I come.”

Yesterday, he returned to Israel. When I saw him on the 7th, he asked for a “soom soom” (sesame) challah for when he comes back.

This challah is more than just bread—it’s a piece of home, a symbol of hope, waiting for their safe return.

Friends, as you enjoy your soom soom challot this weekend, please keep the soldiers of the IDF in your hearts. Toda achi, L’hitraot, and Am Yisrael Chai.

Excited to share that I've been awarded The Pierson 4 Under 40 Award from the Jewish Federation of Central New York

This award honors young Jewish leaders who are making a positive impact in Central New York. I'm proud of the work we've accomplished, and looking forward to continue helping grow the Syracuse Jewish Community. Want to get involved, or have some ideas? Reach out to me!

I am so grateful for the support and encouragement from the Syracuse Community. The work continues now!

Shout out to my friends who were also honored: Juliet Rose Mendy Rapoport and Calle Schueler

Shabbat Shalom!!

**We're embarking on a fundraising journey for two vital causes in Israel that need our support. I can't stress enough how important these causes are to me, and I hope they resonate with you too.
Firstly, we are raising funds for Kibbutz Sufa, a Kibbutz located in the southern region of Israel. This is where my dear friend Nir and his family call home, and it's where he grew up. Sadly, like many other Kibbutzim, Sufa has endured its share of hardships. Kibbutz Sufa is one of the dozens of Kibbutzim that were massacred.

The second cause we're supporting is The Jewish Agency for Israel's Fund for Victims of Terror. When disaster strikes, they provide emergency aid to those in dire need. They offer a lifeline to survivors, delivering financial assistance in as little as 48 hours. They provide ongoing care to help individuals and families get back on their feet and on the path to recovery.
