By dialogue, we mean a specific form of communication especially designed for people to communicate across social, cultural, and power differences.

We are so happy we got to welcome back Kimberly Williams Brown and Meredith Madden, former SU IGD facilitators extraordinaire and CFE PhD alum, on Monday! Thank you both for such an engaging book talk on the recently co-edited "Rise for Racial Justice: How to Talk about Race with Schools and Communities" in Prof. Lopez's graduate seminar CFE 640. Kim, faculty , and Meredith, faculty at .university, generously shared their time, well-honed pedagogical expertise, public scholarship, and perspective with IGD/CFE graduate and undergraduate students through the day. We celebrate, and are so grateful, for their brilliance, and feel called to move these words into continued action!

Hear from some of our very own former IGD students about the significant impacts the Dialogue on Race and Ethnicity course had on them! 😊

The Intergroup Dialogue Program would like to wish all a heartfelt Indigenous People’s Day by honoring the ways indigenous ways of knowing continue to support and inform our approach to dialogue. As we continue to reflect and acknowledge on our relationship to stolen land we encourage you to join us in attending some of the events taking place today in Syracuse.
