Syracuse University Trombone Ensemble

Saturday was the trombone studio recital and ensemble concert. Solos, quartets, and full group pieces were performed. Great job everyone!

The 2026 Setnor Slides Studio Recital is just around the corner! This recital will feature solo pieces by Arban, Bach, Crespo, quartet pieces by Bach, Davern, and Haydn, and octet pieces that are a surprise if you tune in. This year’s poster was designed by our own James Manard.

Last night the Morton Schiff Jazz Ensemble performed a set in Shemin Auditorium. The whole section improved a lot this series and grew as section players. Great work slides!

Tonight the Wind Ensemble AND the quartet played their January concert. The quartet played the Derek Bourgeois and the Wind Ensemble played works by Granger, Chambers, Schumann, and more. Great job Slides!

The Setnor Slides played for the Chancellor’s New Student Convocation. What better way to welcome new students than with trombone?! Great job guys!
