Not trying to stir the pot, but I’ve lived long enough to recognize the signs: we’re either in a recession or heading toward one. Prices keep climbing, unemployment numbers are rising, rent is double from pre-COVID year, GDP is sluggish, and CPI reports aren’t looking good. Even the S&P 500 and Bitcoin have lost the gains they made earlier this year.

If you visit a Rise Above The Streets food giveaway or a local food pantry, you’ll see the reality, long lines of people from every background and political party. This isn’t about politics; it’s about people.

Enough with the fighting. Let’s focus on caring for our families and neighbors. Let’s be part of the solution, not the problem. Stay safe, everyone!
