SFC Thompson was awarded “The Mountain Tops of Awards.”
18 years in the Army. Seven years on recruiting duty.
Today SFC Thompson was awarded the “Glenn E. Morrell Medallion for Recruiting.”
This isn’t a one-year award. This represents years of consistent production, leadership, and taking care of Soldiers and Future Soldiers.
Very few earn this award. SFC Thompson is proud to be one of the awardees.
SFC Thompson is grateful for the mentors that pushed him. They are the team that made it happen, and every Future Soldier who trusted him with their decision.

On March 13th, Future Soldiers from the Olean, Jamestown, and Horseheads recruiting stations visited the Eldred World War II Museum in Eldred, PA. During the trip, we promoted seven Future Soldiers, presented a commander’s coin to another, and recognized one standout recruit with a Battalion plaque.
