✨Introducing Thoughtful Tuesdays✨
Every Tuesday, we’ll be sharing a quote to sit with. Something to carry into your practice, your week, or just a quiet moment to yourself.
Some weeks it’ll be yoga philosophy. Some weeks it might be about psychology, mindfulness, or simply words that made us pause. All of it in the spirit of moving through life a little more mindfully.
Our first quote is below….
“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” ~The Bhagavad Gita
This quote isn’t about poses or flexibility. It’s about using your own awareness. Your breath, your body, your attention, to move through whatever’s there and arrive back at a more honest understanding of who you are.
That’s it, that’s the practice.
What has your practice taught you about yourself?
We would love to know, if you’re willing to share in the comments.

Here at Source Yoga, we want to take the time to honor, reflect and celebrate Juneteenth.
Even though the Emancipation Proclamation was signed by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863 and the Confederate army surrendered to the Union army in April 1865, Black enslaved folks in Texas could not exercise their freedom until June 19, 1865. On that date, Union General Gordon Granger led some 2,000 Union troops, many of them Black, into Galveston Bay, where they announced that the more than 250,000 enslaved Black people in the state were free by executive decree. This day came to be known as “Juneteenth,” deriving it’s name from combining “June” and “nineteenth”.
Happy Juneteenth.🎊
