With our facilities at capacity, our goal in 2021 is to reinstate two existing units to our housing options and increase the number of families in stable housing.

WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE...
We will be completely taking the units down to the bare bones and rebuilding with modern and comfortable amenities that are clean, safe and hospitable.

Our Story

Network Tacoma is a non-profit organization that began in 1990 to help homeless families with children get off the streets and achieve self-sufficiency.

Our mission is to provide a program that addresses the root causes of the cycle of homelessness in order to keep the next generation of children off the streets. The typical barriers for families experiencing homelessness are stable employment, transportation, and affordable housing. In addition, we address other issues through case management (e.g. job training, resources, emotional support). After graduating our transitional program, many of our families often move into our long-term low-income housing while they continue to progress. Though there is less oversight for these families, as they have shown stability and a trajectory toward self-sufficiency, there is still support offered as needed.

Currently, we operate 33 units of housing, fifteen of which are transitional housing, with the rest being long-term low-income housing. We also offer a food bank, clothing bank, and many other support services to both those in our programs, and those that find themselves at our door in need of help.
