Learn from my mistakes!
Last time I installed my CO2 lines I went with solid red lines. Looks cool right? Well the bad thing about having a solid color is that you can’t see if liquid backs up into the line. I had it back all the up to the CO2 distribution block. 😳
I was going crazy trying to figure out why my beer was tasting good out of the fermenter and then going downhill. It started off with hop flavor, aroma, and bitterness fading off. It then went to the beer not being drinkable a few weeks after Kegging. Knew it was a contamination, but had no idea it was coming from the CO2 lines!

Time to keg up some of this Fresh Hop West Coast IPA with fresh Centennial and transfer the Mango Milkshake IPA with fresh Simcoe to the brite. That means time to clean kegs 😞

Both turned out pretty good so I’m interested to see which does better in the competition. I’d like all the people that looked at me like 😬 to taste this Mango IPA. It’s pretty much spot on for what I was going for. Not too much mango so it doesn’t cover up the green flavor of the hops and finish with a sweet after taste highlighted with vanilla, coconut shavings, and of course 🥭!
