This week, our friends at Proctor Subaru Tallahassee stopped by the Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center with a special delivery of incredibly soft blankets (the best kind of blankets) that fold into heart-shaped pillows for patients receiving infusion treatments. They were joined by members of FSU Blood Cancer United's Light The Night team, who helped hand-deliver each blanket along with a little extra encouragement to patients throughout the infusion center.

For someone spending hours receiving treatment, a blanket is much more than a blanket. It provides warmth when treatments can make patients feel chilled, comfort during long infusion sessions and a reassuring reminder that their community is standing beside them.

This annual act of kindness is part of the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. For the past 11 years, Subaru has partnered with Blood Cancer United and local hospitals to bring comfort and support to people facing cancer. Since 2016, more than 550,000 blankets and messages of encouragement have been shared with patients across the country.

To our friends at Proctor Subaru and FSU Blood Cancer United's Light The Night team, thank you for the literal and figurative warmth you provided to our patients this week. Your kindness offered comfort during a typically uncomfortable time and reminded every person receiving treatment that they are surrounded by a community that truly cares.
