Six full days. Five nights. Hundreds of thousands of steps. Countless memories.

Last week, our 8th graders explored the heart of our nation’s capital: walking the National Mall, standing in awe inside the Library of Congress, taking in masterpieces at the National Gallery of Art, exploring the energy of Chinatown, and experiencing the history, culture, and stories that help shape our world.

But this trip was about more than monuments and museums.

It was about independence. Friendship. Curiosity. Perspective. Learning to navigate a big world together.

We are so proud of how these students represented Cornerstone—with respect, compassion, humor, and a willingness to engage deeply with the places and people around them.

Washington, D.C., you were good to us.
