It’s fun getting out of your comfort zone and trying new things. Made this chess board for a wedding gift. All the chess pieces are custom as well. From the complementary wood splines to the bride/groom engravings on the king/queen pieces, little details go a long way.
The custom chess pieces have a very modern look to them. After trying this out, I can confidently say version 2.0 is in the works.
Maple and walnut are the wood species.
