Here’s a recent road rage incident in San Diego with a gun involved.

Here are some tips if another driver acts aggressively:

1. Stay away. Safely change lanes, gradually slow down or even exit the highway to keep a safe distance from the aggressive driver.
2. Don’t reciprocate. Ignore the temptation to respond to the other driver; it could cause the situation to escalate. Don’t make eye contact.
3. Don’t stop. Stopping could lead to a person-to-person confrontation, which could be dangerous.
4. Watch your back. If you’re worried that the other driver is following you, keep your doors locked and drive to the nearest police station.
5. Consider slowing down, but don’t stop. This can come into play when a gun is involved, like this video. The idea is to get on the aggressors blind side, causing them to have to look where they are driving or else they might crash into something. (Have seen this with our own eyes—aggressor crashes into a car in front of them.)
