Florida Physician ACO, Millennium Physician Group, Taps REMware for Sleep Apnea Testing Services TAMPA, Fla., October 09, 2023--Millennium Physician Group, an independent physician group practicing in Florida, Texas and North Carolina, announced they have selected sleep technology company REMware™ to provide home sleep apnea testing services through their more than 750 health care providers.

Obstructive sleep apnea may be linked to low bone mineral density in adults (an indicator of osteoporosis), according to University at Buffalo researchers. They noted the connection may increase the risk of fractures and oral health issues.

An app that tracks CPAP use for sleep apnea has been developed by University of Chicago Medicine and Northwestern University scientists. It gives patients and physician a new tool to deliver and track therapy based on personalized needs.

Data suggest sleep disorders such as OSA may increase the likelihood of developing COVID-19 or having worse outcomes from the illness. Plus, evidence suggests COVID can cause or worsen sleep disturbances. Sleep modulates the immune system, so OSA testing is crucial.
