Update on Dixie: Leg Reconstruction & Care Needed! 🐾

We are sorry for the delay in updates! Dixie has been facing daily bandage changes, but she recently took a big step forward. She finally had the first part of her surgery to place pins in her wrist.

Next Steps & Challenges:
Amputation: It has been determined that at least two of her toes will need to be amputated on Monday, June 1.

Prognosis: Dr. Dorian and the amazing team at Metzler Veterinary Hospital are doing everything possible to save her leg.

Financial Need: Daily weekend bandage changes at the emergency clinic cost ($400) each, and we are currently short on funds to cover these critical treatments.

We are incredibly grateful to Dixie’s foster for the daily transportation and taking such loving care of her.
