Men Get Used Too: My “Gone Girl” Nightmare And How I Fought My Way Back | With Justin Smith 07/14/2026

Why does Cray exist? Our founder, Justin Smith, just shared the full story on the Think Unbroken podcast.

After a relationship left him blindsided — deceived, manipulated, and cleaned out — Justin sat down and wrote out every red flag he'd missed along the way. That list became CrayScore™ and SchemerScore™: free tools built to help you spot deception and manipulation before it costs you.

It's a raw, honest conversation about trust, boundaries, and turning a painful experience into something that protects other people. Give it a watch — then check out the tools it inspired.

Affection is a love language, not a bargaining chip. 🚩

If your partner withholds physical touch to punish you when they’re mad, or only showers you with love when you do exactly what they want—that’s manipulation, plain and simple.

A healthy relationship is built on emotional safety and consistency. You shouldn’t have to “earn” basic affection, and intimacy should never be used as a tool to control your behavior.

Don’t ignore the mind games. Protect your peace.

🎆 Fireworks aren’t the only red flags tonight.

The 4th of July is one of the biggest nights of the year for parties, bars, and meeting new people. Have fun—but don’t let your guard down.

🦊 Cray’s 4th of July Safety Check:
🇺🇸 Tell at least one friend where you’ll be.
📱 Charge your phone before you leave.
🥤 Keep an eye on your drink—every time.
🚗 Don’t leave with someone you just met unless someone knows where you’re going.
🧠 Trust your gut. If something feels off, it probably is.
🍻 Pace your drinks—your judgment matters more than your buzz.
🚕 Have a backup ride home before the first drink.
❤️ Check in on the friend who’s “totally fine.”
✋ Respect boundaries—your own and everyone else’s.
🚩 Remember: Green flags are attractive. Pressure isn’t.

Have an amazing Independence Day. Celebrate hard. Celebrate smart.

The right person will love the version of you that you love. 🚩

If someone is constantly trying to “fix” or change things about you that you’re perfectly happy with, that isn’t growth—it’s control. A healthy relationship is built on accepting and respecting who you are, not trying to mold you into someone else.

Don’t ignore the subtle shifts. Spot the warning signs early so you can protect your peace.

Dating Red Flags: Cray—The App That Could Save Your Heart | Podcast Episode on RSS.com 06/29/2026

We built Cray because our founder lived the thing it protects against.

Justin Smith just sat down with 𝘈𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘸 𝘰𝘯 𝘋𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘋𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘈𝘯𝘰𝘯𝘺𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘈𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘸 to talk about the betrayal that started all of this — and how it turned into a digital safety tool that helps people spot red flags before they get in deep.

They got into a lot: how love bombing actually works, why dating scams keep escalating, what CrayScore and SchemerScore are built to surface, and a part of this conversation I don't usually get to have — what safety looks like for people getting back out there after a divorce or a loss. The risks are real at every age, and nobody talks about it enough.

If you've ever ignored a gut feeling because you wanted it to work out, this one's worth an hour.

Constant suspicion isn’t “protective.” It’s a major red flag. 🛑

If you feel like you’re constantly trying to prove your innocence to your partner, it’s time to take a step back.

Healthy love = Feels safe, secure, and built on mutual trust.

Toxic love = Feels like a constant interrogation.

You shouldn’t have to walk on eggshells just to keep the peace.

🚩 RED FLAG OR NAH? 🚩

“No wonder you’re a piggy...” 😳

Meeting the parents is already one of the most stressful parts of dating, but what happens when your partner decides to drop unfiltered, brutal stereotypes right at the family barbecue?

In this jaw-dropping clip from 90 Day Fiancé, a casual conversation about cultural perceptions takes a sharp turn into a straight-up insult fest.
Here is a breakdown of why the energy at this table went completely cold:

**The Ultimate Lack of Filter:**
There is a massive difference between explaining how people in your home country perceive Americans and looking directly at your partner to call them “lazy” and a “piggy” in front of their parents.

**The “Just Being Honest” Shield:**
Shrugging off a deeply offensive comment with “I’m just saying the truth” is a classic communication trap. Honesty without empathy or respect is just cruelty.

**Ignoring the Room’s Energy:**
When a parent looks at you dead-pan and asks, “Are you serious?” that is the universal cue to apologize and pivot—not to double down and keep digging the hole deeper.

“No offense... but look at this.” Pro tip: Adding “no offense” to the front of a sentence doesn’t magically erase the insult that follows!

Adjusting to a new culture and navigating communication barriers takes time, but basic respect for your partner and their family should be a given from day one.

What do you think?

Is this just a massive, unfiltered cultural disconnect, or is it a total relationship dealbreaker?
