Yesterday was a unique day for me as a photographer. Usually I photograph large and logistically complex weddings, but Thaylane & Eric had a super intimate wedding gathering at a private residence in Troy. Although the rain forced us to completely recalibrate the plan, it all came together just beautifully. This was an afternoon of love, energy, amazing food and fellowship. Congratulations, you two! I'm so happy for you both.

~ Allow Me To Reintroduce Myself ~

Did you know that this year marks a full decade of providing people like you with priceless memories? 225+ weddings, more than 1,000 portrait sessions, and over *two million* images have been captured by yours truly in that time.

Earlier this year, I took some to reflect on the things I've been able to accomplish. My work has been featured in physical magazines, digital media and blogs from across the world and I don't take that honor lightly. Two years in a row I was named Top 5 Wedding Photographers in Detroit by Metro Detroit Weddings magazine. Some artists may allow it to pump up their ego, whereas for me what its *actually* done is push me to keep up that momentum. How can I be better? How do the services I offer provide a meaningful impact to my clients? How can I change my workflow to be more efficient? Growth never stops. And over the years, I've collected all your feedback and taken it to heart, implemented it, and driven change.

Then, I realized....it was time for a rebrand. While my old logo served me well for 8 years, I needed a little something fresh. Something to mark this year in my own personal history book.

I was very particular about what I wanted - it had to emulate my work itself. Timeless, vintage tones, a little unique mixed with a little tradition...and I got exactly what I wanted.

Now introducing, the *new* Pixels & Paint Photography. As the fast food companies say, 'new look, same great taste'. :D Thanks for reading and following my journey. I'm so glad you're here.
