๐จ RETIRED WORKING GIRL SEEKS FOREVER HOME ๐จ
Meet Coconut.
Or, as she was known during her years on the streetsโฆ
Coco Chanelle.
The Blonde Bombshell of Bakersfield.
For years, Coco allegedly worked the streets of Kern County, charming unsuspecting citizens out of snacks and belly rubs.
Her reign finally came to an end on May 5 when authorities arrested her and booked her into Doggy Prison (Kern County Animal Services).
According to court records, Coco was charged with:
โข Petitioning strangers for unauthorized affection
โข Public loitering near drive-thrus
โข Lewd conduct with a Rottweiler (in public)
โข Inappropriate grinding of legs
When she entered custody, Coco was in rough shape. Matted from head to toe, covered in wounds, and looking like sheโd spent a little too much time on the streets.
Fortunately, Marleyโs Mutts posted bail.
Since entering our witness protection program, Coco has been spayed, vaccinated, medically cleared, groomed, and rehabilitated. Weโre happy to report that she is now healthy, safe, and officially retired from her former profession.
Mostly.
Unfortunately, old habits die hard.
While Coco has left the streets behind, she occasionally relapses into her former career path by making inappropriate advances toward unsuspecting human legs. We continue to remind her that she is now a respectable lady and that such behavior is frowned upon in polite society.
Progress is being made.
Slowly.
The truth is, beneath all the jokes, Coconut is exactly the kind of dog Marleyโs Mutts exists for. When she arrived, she was injured, frightened, and running out of options. Like so many of our rescue dogs, she simply needed someone willing to look beyond her rap sheet and see her potential. We believe everyone deserves a second chanceโincluding former street hustlers, professional belly-rub solicitors, and repeat offenders of public affection crimes.
Today, Coco spends her time lounging on pillows, admiring herself in mirrors, hanging out with Cora Rose, and pretending she doesnโt recognize anyone from her former life.
The charges have been dropped.
The record has been sealed.
And Coco Chanelle is officially accepting applications for a retirement home where she can spend her golden years collecting belly rubs legally.
Apply today at MarleysMutts.org.
Please note: applicants with sturdy legs are preferred.

A huge shoutout to Mountain Dog Club for absolutely spoiling Cora Rose and Coconut with beautiful grooms and fresh haircuts! โ๏ธโค๏ธ
These two girls walked in looking a little rough around the edges and walked out looking like they just stepped off the cover of Dogue Magazine.
What makes this even sweeter is watching the friendship that has blossomed between them.
When Coconut first came to us, she was scared of just about everything. Today, sheโs healthy, confident, playful, and has become one of Cora Roseโs closest companions. The two spend their days together, keeping each other company and reminding us that healing often happens through friendship.
And now for the best news of allโฆ
Coconut has an adoption date this Saturday! ๐๐ก
Weโre incredibly excited for her next chapter, even though weโll miss seeing these two girls together every day. Watching Coconut transform from a frightened little dog into one who is ready for a family has been such a gift.
Thank you again to Mountain Dog Club for helping these special girls look and feel their best. Your kindness means more than you know.
Now letโs all send Coconut some love and good luck as she prepares to head home this weekend! โค๏ธ๐พ

We have an incredible opportunity to bring the Pawsitive Change program back to Wasco State Prison โ an institution we were forced to leave when COVID shut so much of the world down.
Now, we have the chance to return.
This means more euthanasia-listed shelter dogs saved. More rehabilitation. More healing. More hope.
Our program gives incarcerated individuals the opportunity to work with and train rescue dogs while developing accountability, empathy, communication, patience, and purpose. These men will one day return home to their families and communities, and we believe they deserve every opportunity to come home as the very best version of themselves.
At the same time, vulnerable shelter dogs receive training, love, socialization, and ultimately the chance to find forever homes.
Lives are changed on both ends of the leash.
If you believe in redemption, rehabilitation, second chances, and the healing power of dogs, please consider supporting our efforts to return Pawsitive Change to Wasco State Prison.
