The ceremony is open to the public, and we invite community members to attend as we welcome Chief Gutierrez into his new role.

We are excited to share the appointment of Dave Gutierrez as the new Menifee Chief of Police!

Chief Gutierrez has been serving as our Acting Chief and has been with the Menifee Police Department since day one. He has played a major role in building the department and helping lead us to become one of the Top 20 Safest Cities in California.

With more than 24 years of law enforcement experience, Chief Gutierrez brings a strong record of service and leadership. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the California Police Chiefs’ Executive Leadership Institute at the Drucker School of Management.
