Shockwave Band

We want to take a second to make a serious request. Not everyone is a person of faith (and that’s okay), but if you are—Could you take a few minutes to say some prayers for our best friend and sound engineer, Kevin Scarborough? Or send good vibes. Whatever you do.

Right now, as of this post, he is currently in surgery to remove a large mass from his bladder that they are pretty sure is cancer.

Without him, there might not even have been an “us”. Kevin is the one who kept us going when our bassist, Dave, had to step back because of his own health. He wanted us to keep going so Dave would have a “home” again when he recovered. He sent out the texts and made the phone calls to keep the band together and practicing.

He refused to quit. He would never give up on us. Even when our beloved drummer stepped back, Kevin refused to let us throw in the towel. He said we were “on to something. Keep going!”

So we did. Kevin is one of the unseen forces behind the band. No lie—HE loves the band more than the band loves the band sometimes. He sends out texts telling us to practice. We joke that he’s our very own Joe Jackson!

We love this man so much. There is not a more selfless, caring, giving human being on this planet. Send your prayers up.
