ECD Automotive Design stepped into classic Chevy territory with its first bespoke 1972 K5 Blazer build. Known mostly for custom Land Rover Defenders and other British classics, ECD gave this first-generation K5 a modern restomod treatment while keeping its vintage personality intact.

The $245,000 commission wears a period-correct Chevy Dark Olive Poly and Frost White two-tone finish, polished 17-inch Chevy Scottsdale wheels, chrome details, and a matching hardtop.

Under the hood is a Retro 6.0-liter V8 paired with an automatic transmission, giving the Blazer smoother fuel-injected performance. A 2.5-inch lift, 35-inch BFGoodrich KO2 tires, four-wheel disc brakes, and Hydroboost assist add capability and confidence.

Inside, the K5 gets Buffalo vinyl seats with Porsche Pepita Green houndstooth inlays, climate control, digital gauges, power windows, heated and cooled seats, and remote start.

It is classic Chevy style with modern usability. Count us in.
