Calling all divers!

We’re excited to share that a WAVES staff member’s spouse, who is completing a fellowship with LSU’s Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine and Diving Medicine Research Team, is leading a groundbreaking study on how recreational diving gases affect divers’ neurocognitive performance.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to diving science and support ongoing medical research in our community.

Selected volunteers will be contacted by the study’s principal investigator and will complete one dive to 80 feet at Blue Grotto. Participants will be assigned a gas mix of Air, EANx28, EANx32, or EANx36 and will complete a short neurocognitive questionnaire while at depth.
