A new report from OEHHA has found no significant health risk linked to crumb rubber, a material commonly used in synthetic turf and recreational areas. Crumb rubber is produced from recycled tires and is widely incorporated into play and sports surfaces across the country.

The study supports that individuals of all ages can enjoy these spaces without concern about chemical exposure from this recycled material.
