As a member of the U.S. Space Force University Partner Program (UPP), ASU and NewSpace applaud the nomination of Space Force's Lt. Gen Whiting to head SPACECOM.

Biden nominates Space Force’s Whiting to head SPACECOM The nominations package also proposes to elevate Lt. Gen. Michael Guetlein, head of the Space Force's main acquisition arm Space Systems Command (SSC), to four star status and take over from Gen. D.T. Thompson as vice chief of space operations.

2 years ago, ASU NewSpace and AZLabs organized Infinite Movement, an event bringing together the brightest minds from Arizona's defense and space industry, including ASU researchers, local businesses, and Senator Mark Kelly. This exciting event showcased incredible breakthroughs like CubeSounder and booths displaying cutting-edge tech and presentations covering everything from medical care for astronauts to civilian spaceflight, it's clear that Arizona is taking the lead in the new era of space exploration.
