If you are an enrolled Navajo Nation tribal member, have an outstanding principal loan balance on a home you own on the Navajo Nation, and have experienced a COVID-related financial hardship any time after January 21, 2020, the Navajo Homeowner Assistance Fund (NHAF) may be able to help pay up to $150,000 of your remaining home loan. Must meet all eligibility requirements.

Receiving messages like this one from a homeowner in St. Michaels, AZ, is a reminder of the impact that the Navajo Homeowner Assistance Fund (NHAF) has within our community.

We started working with this homeowner in June 2025. They qualified for the Mortgage Reinstatement Assistance (MRA) and the Monthly Mortgage Payment Assistance (MMPA) Programs. These NHAF programs provide financial relief that paid off a large delinquent mortgage balance, and made additional mortgage assistance payments.
