Come get your geek on at Geeks Night Out/Tempe STEAM Festival 2025! Free family fun launches at 5 p.m. on the north side of the Tempe Public Library.

We love pizza pies, apple pies, pumpkin pies and the list goes on, but that’s not what we're celebrating today. Today, we're highlighting both the mathematical constant π 3.1415926535……. and Albert Einstein's birthday, making it a special day for math and science enthusiasts.

Geeks Night Out, Tempe’s annual STEAM Festival, returns on Wednesday, March 26 from 5 - 7:30 p.m.
Merging fun and education, Geeks showcases everything from robotics and coding exercises to forensic crime scenes and art displays. Check out the dozens of interactive booths, exhibits and science experiments at the free, family friendly event presented by State Farm.

March 2025 is going to be great for Skygazing!

✨ Mark Your Calendars, Space Lovers! 🚀

March 2025 is packed with incredible celestial events, and you won’t want to miss these skywatching highlights! 🔭✨

🌍 March 1-4 – The Grand Planetary Alignment Continues
One of the last chances to see all seven planets together in the sky until 2040!

🌕 March 14: Total Lunar Eclipse (Blood Moon)
A mesmerizing Blood Moon will grace the skies! This total lunar eclipse will be visible from the Americas, Antarctica, Alaska, and parts of Africa.

☄️ March 14-15: Ɣ-Normid Meteor Shower
A faint meteor shower producing up to 6 meteors per hour—best viewed before dawn.

✨ March 18-21: Dual Visibility of Venus
Venus will shine in both the morning and evening skies for a few days in the Northern Hemisphere! This won’t happen again until 2033.

🪐 March 23: Saturn’s Ring Plane Crossing
Saturn’s iconic rings will vanish briefly as we see them edge-on from Earth!

🌑 March 29: Partial Solar Eclipse
The Moon will cover up to 93% of the Sun at its peak! 🌞🌑 This eclipse will last nearly four hours, starting at 4:51 AM EDT, and will be visible from parts of the Americas, Europe, and Africa.
