I had the privilege of taking family photos for my sweet friend. It was absolute chaos. A dog with a green Mohawk, one baby puking, the other is eating a bug, one of my own kids behind me crying and the other getting in on the photos because to him they are family so why wouldn’t he join the picture? And guess what? I loved every second of it. So many smiles and so much laughing. We might have been sweating and out of breath by the end of it but look at how beautiful these pictures turned out. It was so worth it!

If you’re considering family photos but worried it will be too crazy or the kids won’t listen or the baby will be crying, you might be right. But I don’t care. It’s my job to roll with it and your job to slow down, look at the people you love and just smile. You deserve family photos… even if the baby is crying. 💛

Birth isn’t always chaotic, rushed, or loud. Sometimes it’s soft music, a dark room, silent prayers and quiet encouragement.

Have you ever seen a mama smiling or laughing in labor?🥹

I felt so proud and honored to witness this mama working so hard to meet her baby. Endless hours of labor and running on fumes. Our bodies are so incredible. Also can we take a moment to recognize the way he looks at her 🥹
