The Prodigy is solidly "a gun."
A lot of 2011 guys complain about the ironically named Prodigy, and it definitely leaves a lot to be desired - the trigger is sponges than a cheap Glock-clone, the frame to slide fit is gritty and sloppy, and the barrel is as bare bones as you can get... BUT
This 🔫 also comes in at just about 1️⃣5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ beans, the grip is outstanding, and it gobbles up all the ammo I feed it.
The Prodigy is entry level, full stop, but its a pretty damn good entrance.
