Job description

This position is full-time or freelancer in our Missouri City, TX, Headquarters office. In this role, you will review and audit timesheets for labour law and company policy compliance, and process bi-weekly full cycle payroll. This includes taxes, deductions, garnishments, miscellaneous earnings and third-party payments.

You will also process payroll changes (new hires, terminations, position, compensation, bonuses), reconcile and adjust paid time-off entitlements, resolve payroll discrepancies, and answer employee questions.

Additional responsibilities include:

1. Research and resolve tax fallouts
2. HSA employer and employee funding processing
3. Process W-2’s and quarterly 941’s
4. Reconcile payroll ledgers and post journal entries
5. Audit support (financial, workers compensation)
6. Tax returns for property and occupational
7. Lead and assist system improvements, documentation and training

Desired Skills:

1. 2+ years of experience in Payroll
2. Knowledge of applicable payroll taxes (federal, state and local)
3. Computer expertise in Microsoft Excel
4. Aptitude for learning internal management information systems
5. This position reports to Controller.
