We are immensely proud to announce that nine Fordham graduates have been awarded Fulbright scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic year, taking them across the globe, from Taiwan and Botswana to Colombia and Eastern Europe, to engage in vital research, graduate study, and cross-cultural teaching.

Behind every successful applicant is a dedicated ecosystem of support. More than 150 faculty members and administrators worked alongside our Office of Fellowship Advising to guide these scholars through a deeply developmental process. Rooted in our holistic Jesuit approach, this guidance helps students translate their academic passions into a clear vision for changing society for the better.

When first-year Gabelli School of Business student John Russak grew tired of spending $8 at Starbucks between classes, he decided to invent a zero-sugar energy snack.

Thanks to a transformative $1 million endowment from Fordham alumnus, investor, and philanthropist Mario Gabelli ‘65, the Fordham Foundry’s newly launched Early-Stage Venture Program is backing his idea. John's startup, Wide Eye, just secured a massive $30,000 inaugural investment from the fund, proving that game-changing business ideas can come from your very first year on campus.

This new fund represents a major evolution in how we back innovation on campus, providing roughly $60,000 annually to help student-run startups and Bronx-based ventures scale from raw ideas into viable businesses.
