American Legion Holley-Riddle Post 21

After a hot North Texas morning Honor Guard detail, we rewarded ourselves with a well-deserved lunch at one of our favorite spots—Bubba's 33.

As any seasoned Honor Guard knows, you have to protect the uniform…so out came the bibs! 😂

We’re proud to report that Dan Ivey tackled a plate of wings and somehow walked away with a spotless uniform. We suspect it’s either years of military training…or pure magic.

Mission accomplished—honors rendered, bellies full, uniforms still inspection ready! 🫡🫡

Before the heat can slow us down, the Post 21 Warrior Fitness Group has already found the perfect summer workout—Chair Zumba! ☀️💪

Don’t let the chairs fool you! Our heart rates were up, we were breathing hard, and we had an absolute blast moving to classics like “Disco Inferno,” “YMCA,” and “Copacabana.” It turns out fitness is even better when you’re singing and laughing with friends.

Tonight was made even more special as we celebrated our “Jersey Girl,” Pat Zuczek, on her birthday! 🎉🎂Happy Birthday Pat!

Tonight, our hearts were filled with pride as the Post 21 Color Guard had the honor of presenting the Colors at the Dallas Independence Day Celebration at Klyde Warren Park. ❤️🤍💙

Before a crowd of several thousand, our team stood with dignity and unwavering respect for our flag and the nation it represents. Every step they took honored the generations of Americans who have worn our nation’s uniform and stood watch to protect the freedoms we celebrate today.🇺🇸🇺🇸

To our Color Guard—thank you for representing American Legion Holley-Riddle Post 21 with such professionalism and pride. You carried not only our Colors, but the legacy of those who came before us. 🫡🫡
