In July 2021, Griffin Fire-Rescue formed a nonprofit organization, Helpful Heroes, in order to better serve the needs of the local community. For their first event, the Helpful Heroes First Annual Charity Golf Tournament, the organization has partnered with Spalding County DFCS in order to provide foster children (middle school-aged and up) with a new pair of shoes at the start of the next school year.
