We are pleased to announce Stavros Vougioukas as one of our speakers at the Southeastern Specialty Crop Technology Conference & Show! Stavros Vougioukas is a professor and vice chair in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at the University of California, Davis. He earned his doctorate in electrical, computer and systems engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, specializing in robotics and automation under a Fulbright Fellowship.
Before joining UC Davis in 2012, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Parma, Italy, and as a faculty member in the Department of Agricultural Engineering at Aristotle University in Greece.
His research focuses on robotic harvesting, labor-saving technologies, and precision yield mapping, supported by funding from USDA NIFA, grower commodity boards and industry.

We are excited to annouce Lynn Sosnoskie as a speaker for Southeastern Specialty Crop Technology Conference & Show! Lynn M. Sosnoskie is a w**d scientist at Cornell University specializing in the evaluation of novel w**d management technologies for specialty crop production.
She joined Cornell AgriTech in 2019 as an assistant professor of w**d ecology and management in specialty crops in the horticulture section of the School of Integrative Plant Science.
Her research focuses on integrating emerging tools — such as electrical w**ding, autonomous robotics, precision sprayers and laser w**ders — with conventional practices to improve w**d control efficiency, crop vigor, and system sustainability.
Sosnoskie works closely with growers and industry partners to test and refine innovative w**d management solutions under commercial production conditions.
