UGA Extension - Tift County

A very incredible group of childcare providers came together on their Saturday off to attend our first Southwest District Super Saturday Childcare Providers Training at the Tift County Extension office. Grady county FACS Agent, Teresa Adkins taught about Infectious Diseases and wowed our group with her musical skills. Thomas county FACS Agent, Olivia Tumlin taught about Safety. Tift county FACS Agent, Georgeanne Cook taught about Child Abuse. We are looking forward to our next Super Saturday Training in the coming weeks.

Conger Gas hosted Tift Extension Thursday night for a pressure canning class with green beans!! While green beans were processing , FACS Agent also taught participants how to make homemade buttermilk biscuits from scratch. Our next class we will be learning how to can salsa. We would love to have you join us!
