Portland service manager Kristina Taylor assisted Willamette National Cemetery in placing flags on the graves of every veteran buried there for . While no public ceremonies were held this year, it was open to visitors.

The NCS Portland staff have been making disposable masks from towels – no sewing required! Research is showing they work better than plain cotton, and although still not medical grade, they are effective for public use. We are passing them out, along with hand sanitizer, to first responders, nursing home staff, and other caregivers in the area. We want to do all we can to help keep our community safe, and give something back to the hard-working healthcare workers. We're so grateful to you. 🙏

Our Portland service manager Kristina Taylor and her team donated blood in an American Red Cross blood drive last week to help those in need. The Red Cross now faces a severe blood shortage due to the many blood drive cancellations during the COVID-19 outbreak.
